CIS/DC Zapatistas is an activist group committed to the ongoing struggles of Indigenous peoples in the Americas. CIS is actively supporting the struggles of the Indigenous peoples of Mexico and combating related structures of oppression within our own communities.
Project South: Project South: Institute for the Elimination of Poverty & Genocide is a broad-based community-driven membership organization that develops and conducts popular political and economic education and action research for organizing and liberation. We develop indigenous popular educators and movement leaders from grassroots and scholar-activist backgrounds, bringing them together on the basis of equality to engage in building a bottom-up movement for social and economic justice. Project South and CIS/DC Zapatistas have jointly created
a popular education toolkit entitled Anatomy of a Movement: The Zapatistas
Sexto Sol Radio: Based in Texas, Sexto Sol is a weekly Latino-issues program aimed at educating, entertaining and reaching out to all members of the community.
Sexto Sol, in partnership with the CIS/DC Zapatistas, airs the Mexico Week in Review Radio Report each week.
